Doesn’t matter which side you are on or whether you choose not to take sides at all, this year promises to be one of great conflict for this country. Boil down the energetics of it and it seems to come down to separation, competition, exclusiveness and fear which then breed its own forms of ugliness and unkindness.
How will you show up to this drama, already unfolding in front of us with violence, distrust, shame, judgment, righteousness and meanness?
In any situation, we have two choices. Either be part of the problem (add to the existing toxicity) or part of the solution (counter the energy with its antidote). We can pretend we aren’t part of the unfolding drama and watch with curious and shocked eyes on the sidelines, but we are all a part of it. Part of the solution or part of the problem.
2024 will go down as a conflictual, transitional and potentially nation-changing year. It has forced me to commit fully to the highest and best version of myself, for that I am grateful. If I were to ask you, who are reading this, is that something you are willing and capable of doing? What would that even look like?
Each week as I uncover what that means to me, I will be sharing it with you. As witnesses. As comrades in arms. As part of the solution. As part of a growing community of those who refuse to sit back and watch, but chose instead to bring consciousness and inclusiveness to our world.
